WE WILL DECIDE WHAT IS SURREAL
Someone once suggested to Salvador Dali that if he put a telephone in a jar of honey, that that would make a great Surrealist work of art. Dali disagreed. He said "putting a phone is an jar of honey is in no way Surreal, but FINDING a phone in a jar of honey, now that would be truly Surreal. We agree and are looking for that phone.
This is our 20th anniversary…our 9th festival and we have moved to Downtown LA…We couldn't think of a more Surreal location.
The GRAND PRIZE is a vintage 16mm BOLEX MOVIE CAMERA. Categories and other prizes will be decided by the judges after all films are viewed. Past years categories ranged from most abrasive to most oblique to the coveted Duchamp award.
