On May 18, 2013, in Los Angeles, California, the Film Music Program will host the third annual ComposersLab: L.A.
Through a series of informative conversations and interactive networking opportunities with renowned composers and industry professionals, ComposersLab: L.A. will offer film composers insight into the process of creating music for film. ComposersLab: L.A. is a condensed version of Sundance Institute’s more intensive annual Composers Labs, which connect composers and directors and give them firsthand experience into the collaborative process of developing music for film.
ComposersLab: L.A. is supported by BMI. The Sundance Institute Film Music Program is supported by Time Warner Foundation and the Film Music Foundation.
Led by Peter Golub, Director of the Sundance Institute Film Music program, this full-day program features:
Composers Lab Creative Advisors presenting their work and discussing choices and strategies:
In addition, Music Editors Adam Smalley and Scott Johnson (The Town, Twilight, How To Train Your Dragon) will illustrate their collaborative process.
