Bright Blue Gorilla Premieres New Film "Karate Film Café."

You may have seen Robyn Rosenkrantz and Michael Glover as friends of Matthew Broderick in the Disney/Touchstone film The Last Shot. They make up the husband/wife duo Bright Blue Gorilla: World traveling musicians, actors and filmmakers. It all started in 1990, when Robyn & Michael quit their L.A. jobs, sold everything they had (except their guitars), and bought one-way tickets to Europe. BBG is back in L.A., (after a 14 month sold out tour of art house cinemas in Europe), to premiere their third feature comedy "Karate Film Café".

Bright Blue Gorilla and special guests: Brian Joseph and David Zink from "Karate Film Café" will perform live in concert followed by the screening of the film. Actors and crew will be present. Doors open at 7 p.m. Concert begins at 7:30 p.m followed by the film.

Bright Blue Gorilla is known for their humorous & inspiring songs and was voted Best Live Act of the Year by the O.C. Register. After watching "Karate Film Café" at the Berlin Premiere, H.P. Daniels of Der Tagesspiegel said: "Karate Film Café is the best anti-depressant one could think of! Even the side-effects are most pleasant! Even if you arrive quite miserable after all you're guaranteed to leave the cinema a happier person!"



"Karate Film Café" synopsis: On the corner of Hollywood & Vine, we find a Karate School with a strange type of karate, a DVD store with movies that nobody wants, and a Cafe with the world's worst cook. Add to the story a crazy Italian with a deadly secret; a musician with terrible allergies; a computer nerd who thinks everyone is in love with her, and you have 90 minutes of love, death, bad food and good music.
